Friday at 4 p.m., Assumption College will celebrate the dedication of the new Tinsley Campus Ministry Center, a recent addition to the Chapel of the Holy Spirit. The celebration will begin with a brief ribbon-cutting, followed by a dedication Mass, celebrated by Bishop McManus, and the blessing of the building.

As Lent approached, Fr. Peter Precourt, our Pastor, informed us of the request to support a new Assumptionist parish in Uganda.
As coordinator of our religious education program at St. Anne and St. Patrick Parish, I suggested that the children in our program take on the challenge of raising money to help as part of their almsgiving during Lent.
Teachers shared the information about Uganda and pictures obtained by Fr. Sal, with the children in their classes.

This sheet is intended to connect all those who are collaborating, or are simply interested, in the cause of Fr. Emmanuel d’Alzon’s beatification. Its contents aim at providing information on what is happening in different countries, at passing on testimonies of those who have received favors and of possible miracles obtained through Fr. d’Alzon’s intercession, and at proposing certain texts to assist in doctrinal or pastoral reflection on this cause.
It will appear every three months in French, English, Spanish and Dutch. And in order that it have a truly international character, we have to maintain continual communication with all those collaborating in the cause.

In the presence of the Mayor, Jorge Venegas, regional and Church authorities, the new gymnasium of Manuel d’Alzon High School in Lota was official inaugurated.
It was in the context of the Bicentennial projected adopted in 2010 to improve the institution’s infrastructure that it was decided to foresee a gymnasium that could house a variety of sporting, recreational and cultural activities. he project also included the construction of Learning Resources Center, the construction and organization of a language and mathematics laboratory, and the equipping of classrooms with digital blackboards and multimedia projectors.

“Project Hope – Where Families Move Up and Out of Poverty”
As we rapidly come to the end of yet another academic year, “Conversations at the Assumptionist Center” in Brighton, MA concluded this year’s series of six thematic presentations by inviting Sr. Margaret Leonard of the Little Sisters of the Assumption. Throughout her religious and ministerial life, Sr. Margaret has faithfully, energetically, consistently and passionately sought to further the mission of Assumption’s “zeal for the Kingdom” by striving to create a world that is just by lifting up the voices of the poor. She has been the Executive Director of Project Hope since 1985.
