OLLO Ski Resort PDF Print E-mail

There are so many memories.

I remember on very cold, crisp and dry January day. We fabricated a ski jump donw near the cesspool. Fellow classmate, Dick Gallant, was getting ready to head off the jump and I was in line behind him. As soon as he landed on the snow, I could hear his leg snap.

I made the wise decision not to try the jump.

Dick survived and sold me all of his ski gear. I still ski but try to stay on terra firma (or snowwa firma).

- Hope to hear from more of you. There are some truly great memories at OLLO.

Greetings PDF Print E-mail

Greetings from CT. Nice to see all the pictures and to remember what a peaceful place that was. In some ways that might be what I remember most outside the people. I've ofen wondered what happened to everyone. This is a most delightful surprise. Thanks, Bro and whoever else pt this together.

Dick

The Cassadagan's Cassadagan PDF Print E-mail

Greetings from Southern California, where this pioneer Cassadagan is deputy editor of the editorial page of The Orange County Register. I bring this up having just looked at the PDF version of a 1967 edition of The Cassadagan. I think I was the first editor of The Cassadagan, or one of the early ones (I actually remember writing a short piece in Latin!), and here I am, 40+ years later, still an editor. Does anyone remember a shortlived alternative mimeographed sheet we called Bent?

.... and congratulations to Bro. Stephen and whoever else is responsible for this site. The photos are wonderful. I have been in e-mail contact with J.P. Mandler the last year or two and would love to hear from others from the early years.

Maple Syrup PDF Print E-mail

It is very cold and blustery this January day in Chautauqua County so it is unlikely that you will be pulled from class this Saturday to collect sap. I have much more I would like to share with you my fellow bucket turners. I'm grateful to Brother Stephen for his initiatives and hope that many will contribute to this site and help fill the void I suspect many of us feel.

I am Joe McMaster '67 and i deeply regret I have not kept in contact with anyone. I live with my wife and child on a grape farm on the shores of Lake Erie, 6 miles from Cassadaga. Should anyone need to make a pilgrimage to OLLO now the job Corps Center please contact me.
