On Saturday, April 30th, 2013, the Chapel of the Holy Spirit at Assumption College in Worcester, MA was filled with great joy, gratitude and celebration as Bro.Ronald Sibugan, A.A. pronounced his final vows as an Augustinian of the Assumption. Surrounded by his Assumptionist brothers, invited guests and friends, Bro. Ron vowed to live the life on consecrated poverty, chastity and obedience for the rest of his life. Grounded in prayer, living in community and committed to zealous apostolic activity, he promised to live according to the Rule of Saint Augustine and the Assumptionist Rule of life.
Fr.Peter Precourt, A.A., celebrant of the Mass, homilist and Provincial Delegate for the United States, represented the Assumptionist Superior General, Fr. Benoit Griere, A.A. in accepting Bro. Ron’s profession and welcomed him as a member of the congregation affiliating him to the Province, of North America and the Philippines.
The liturgical celebration was greatly enhanced by the Assumption College Choir, the Filipino Choir of the Diocese of Worcester and Friends of the Assumptionist Center in Brighton, MA.
Following the Mass, the community, guests and friends of Bro. Ron continued the celebration at a reception in La Maison Francaise on the college campus.
