Jean Pierre Ndulani, Anselme Wasukundi and Edmond Kisughu PDF Print E-mail

Abducted by mystery men
In the Congo that you love,
Protected by the One above
With his strenth even then.
In the community of Mbau.
From Butembo many miles,
The victims of human wiles,
On the outskirts of North Kivu.

Do not be afraid of those powers, which can a body kill,
May you conquer all, conscious of His Love alive still.
All the Church is present to appeal to your betrayer,
She proclaims your fate and calls her faithful to prayer.
For your liberty we do entreat
The God of everlasting Love,
To send His mercy from above,
That woe and pain may retreat.
May healing touch the hearts
Of your captors, names unknown,
That they listen to your groans,
And voices from distant parts.
O faithful and good brothers,
Who for the Lord’s sake abide,
your trembling hands open wide,
To be filled with peace of others.
This Year of Faith bears witness,
To His Love that spared nothing;
And now in Africa we’re admiring,
Friends carrying anew his distress.
Jean Pierre, Edmond and Anselme,
May your example shine and persist
May it not ever weaken but desist,
May it never despair now or then
May you cling to the great treasure,
Faith that reigns throughout the earth,
A love that hopes and brings to birth
A life of service as its only pleasure.
