Dear brothers and sisters in the Assumptionist family,

Helping to form leaders for the Church has become a hallmark of the Assumptionists in the United States, side by side with their lay friends and collaborators.

At the Assumptionist Center in Brighton, where a group of twelve graduate students exchange views about theology, pastoral ministry, and interreligious dialogue as they prepare themselves for Church-related professions; at Assumption College, where a recently completed Campus Ministry Center is alive with students planning liturgies, retreats, and mission outreach programs; at St. Anne’s in Fiskdale, where religious formation is energetically pursued at all levels, including a signature adult catechetical program – in each case, Fr. d’Alzon’s vision of lay and religious in partnership for God’s Kingdom takes flesh in response to the needs of today’s Church. This summer the work of formation is opening out to the world with the establishment of an international novitiate in Worcester. Novices from as many as seven different countries will gather under the direction of Fr. Richard Lamoureux to walk the spiritual path of Fr. d’Alzon and to immerse themselves in the essentials of a life of religious consecration.

Many of you have already responded to the invitation to become Partners for God’s Kingdom. Without your help our efforts to promote vocations, to financially support the education of our student brothers, to provide a welcoming home for young men preparing to serve the Church, and to assure the quality of care for our elder brothers, would not be possible. I thank you for your generous support, I invite many others to become partners with us in promoting “education in all of its forms.”

As Partners for God’s Kingdom, we can be such a force for good in the realization of the Church’s mission. Please join in supporting efforts of the Assumption family to form leaders who bear witness to God’s love for the world.

May God bless you.

Yours in service to the Kingdom,
Fr. Dennis Gallagher, A.A. Superior of the United States Delegation
