This past November 21, five young Assumptionists from five different countries made their final vows, three in France and one each in Korea and Vietnam ---- a striking reflection of the ongoing internationalization of the congregation.  Chris from Korea,  Dường from Vietnam, Florentin from Romania, Shui from China, and Milad from Egypt all felt drawn by the vision of Emmanuel d'Alzon to give their lives to Christ in the Augustinians of the Assumption.

Florentin, Shui, and Chris are completing their theological studies, while Dường is responsible for youth ministry in our new parish in Vinh (Vietnam) and Milad works part-time at our youth hostel in Paris and part-time with the homeless at our center on a barge north of the city.

There are some 250 young men in formation throughout the world from Madagascar to Vietnam, from the Democratic Republic of the Congo to the United States, from the Philippines to France, from Burkina Faso to Brazil, from Chile to Togo, from Mexico to Kenya.
