You are also invited to participate in the Daily Mass online at worcesterdiocese.org
The following can be prayed alone or with family members in your household.
In the name of the Father, and of the Son (+), and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.
PENITENTIAL ACT Brothers and sisters, let us acknowledge our sins.
A brief pause for silence follows. Then all recite together the formula of general confession:
I confess to almighty God and to you, my brothers and sisters, that I have greatly sinned, in my thoughts and in my words, in what I have done and in what I have failed to do, through my fault, through my fault, through my most grievous fault; therefore I ask blessed Mary ever-Virgin, all the Angels and Saints, and you, my brothers and sisters, to pray for me to the Lord our God.
OPENING PRAYER Let us pray.
As we recall year by year the mysteries by which, through the restoration of its original dignity, human nature has received the hope of rising again, we earnestly beseech your mercy, Lord, that what we celebrate in faith we may possess in unending love. Through our Lord Jesus Christ, your Son, who lives and reigns with you in the unity of the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. Amen.

PRAYER OF THE FAITHFUL
For the apostles and prophets of the Church today, that they may rely on God’s power to open the doors of closed hearts. We pray to the Lord. Lord, hear our prayer.
That in this darkness, governments might find the path to light. We pray to the Lord. Lord, hear our prayer.

Dear sisters, brothers and friends:
From January 24th to 26th, 2020, we have gathered in the SIJPIC Assumption. The Augustinians of the Assumption, the Religious of the Assumption, the Oblates of the Assumption and the Little Sisters of the Assumption participated in this international meeting. Since last year, the Orantes of the Assumption have been participating in the meetings of the Secretariat; we hope that they will soon do so officially.
The world is on the move: migrants, refugees, displaced persons. The welcome we give them (or not) calls into question our own humanity, as Pope Francis reminds us in his message for the World Day of Migrants and Refugees on September 29, 2019: "It is not only about migrants, it is also about our humanity.
The Assumption participates in this challenge. We have reflected together on this. We discovered the broad mission that our communities on the five continents are carrying out in this regard. And also the desire to go further.
We obtained the agreement of our General Councils to hold an Inter-Assumption Session from July 5-10, 2021: "A world on the move. Migrants-Refugees-Displaced Persons-Victims of Trafficking: a challenge for the Assumption today".

OPENING PRAYER Let us pray.
Grant, we pray, almighty God, that we, who have been renewed by paschal remedies, transcending the likeness of our earthly parentage, may be transformed in the image of our heavenly maker. Through our Lord Jesus Christ, your Son, who lives and reigns with you in the unity of the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. Amen.

As the curtain rises on this famous Gospel scene, we find Cleopas and the other unnamed disciple walking away from Jerusalem in something of a daze. They’re unfocused, literally disoriented – walking away from the East, away from Jerusalem, away from the Resurrection.
