NATIONAL CATHOLIC DEVELOPMENT CONFERENCE COMES TO NEW ENGLAND Print

Mayra Patricia Reyes Peregrina, Sister Georgette Lehmuth, OSF, Tomasz Kierul, CFREOn Monday, October 18th,the National Catholic Development Conference (NCDC) in collaboration with the United States Region of the Assumptionists andAssumption College hosted a workshop "What is Happening in Catholic Fundraising Today" on the Campus of Assumption College in Worcester, MA. The attendees of the conference represented development directors and staffs of religious organizations such as schools, parishes, religious communities and charities.

The presenter, Sr. Georgette Lehmuth, OSF, President & CEO of NCDC and a nationally recognized speaker and leader in the fundraising community, addressed issues, concerns and challenges that she sees happening in the larger fundraising community and how they compare to the Catholic experience. She shared information relating to the forces impacting fundraising today, pertinent national surveys and statistics  and specific examples that give us hope in nourishing a continued future and culture of giving, the focus always being relational and centered on the mission and the donor.

The program was interactive with participants having the opportunity to share their questions, concerns and experiences.

Representing the U.S. Region of Assumptionists (who are members of NCDC) were Mr. Tomasz Kierul, Director of Development, Mr. Tomasz Jaster, Assistant to the Treasurer, Father Salvator Musande, A.A., Ms. MaryAnn McCue, Mrs. Patti May and Sr. Clare Bertero, OSF. Representing the Region of Mexico was Mayra Patricia Reyes Peregrina.
